IBP Star Grass - Dichromena colorata

Also known as Star Rush or White-topped Sedge. Erect stems grow 12 to 15-1/2 inches tall. One of the distinguishing characteristics of the species are the white bracts that radiate from the ends of the stems. Clusters of brownish flowers are in the center of the whorl of bracts. The plants need to be pruned back when the stems get rangy and will recover quickly after having been severely pruned back. Provides a nice accent among darker foliage.
