IBP Dwarf Cattail - Typha laxmannii

A small, rather elegant relative of the massive denizen of roadside ditches all across the country. This plant grows to 4 or 5 feet in height and produces cattails throughout the summer. It spreads by runners, which are easily pruned to desired limits. A beautiful plant which provides nice vertical lines without being obtrusive or too dense.In the pond it can be planted directly into "pockets" of gravel. IBP Dwarf Creeping Spearwort - Ranunculus flammula

Glossy, narrow to broadly ovate leaves stand on 2\"-6\" stems. Bright yellow flowers are held above and among the leaves spring through summer. Provides a nice, low-growing marginal plant for streams and pond sides, or in bogs.

IBP Dwarf Cyperus - Cyperus alternifolius var. Gracilis

Also known as Sparkler Grass. A dwarf version of Cyperus alternifolius. Grows up to 2 feet, leaf whorls are 4 to 6 inches in diameter. An excellent choice for a small or shaded watergarden. In the pond it can be planted directly into "pockets" of gravel. (4-6" of water). You could also grow it in shallow trays or 10" pots to achieve a fuller or mass effect.*****Restrictions: Sorry, but we can't ship this item to Rhode Island. *****

IBP Dwarf Giant Papyrus - Cyperus percamenthus 'King Tut'

A nice compact version of the standard Egyptian Papyrus. Large fluffy "mops" of green on short triangular stems. Very cute in small ponds, or a good height scale planted in areas with taller plants. Grows to about 3' in height. Prefers full sun to part shade. USDA ZONES 9-11

IBP Dwarf Lobed Moneywort - Hydrocotyl sp.

Leaves very similar to H. ranunculoides, except that this one is much smaller, only growing to an inch or so wide and a few inches tall. As with all species of Hydrocotyl, small clusters of white flowers are produced off and on through the summer. This one is good on pond and stream margins, in hanging baskets, and in table to containers.

IBP Dwarf Papyrus - Cyperus haspan

Also known as Haspan Sedge or Sharp-edged Sedge. Dwarf Papyrus is a charming little plant that does well in or out of water around the pond edge. Tufts of very thin, green leaves are held alofton narrow green stems which arise form a rhizome. Plants eventually form a clump several inches in diameter at the base and up to 2' tall. *****Restrictions: Sorry, but we can't ship this item to Rhode Island. *****

IBP Dwarf Parrot's Feather - Myriophyllum sp.

This is a more compact, darker hued version of the familiar floating plant, Parrot's Feather, Myriophyllum brasiliense. The stems are stiffer than in M. brasiliense, and they never get quite as long. This one makes a lovely display around the base of a larger bog plant or pond fixture, in a stream setting, or along the edge of a pond. Stands less than a foot above the water when not crowded, and adds a nice texture to any setting. plants. Can also be anchored in shallow water areas using small stones or gravel.(2-4" of water) Plant in shallow trays to create a mass effect.

IBP Dwarf Striped Sweet Flag - Acorus gramineus "Variegatus"

Boldly variegated foliage. Very distinctive. Useful at the pond's edge. Grows well with its roots in open water, so it is possible to have it growing amid stones at a pond's edge. Also does well in soil out of the water. Brightens the areas of the pond where there is muted light. Massed plantings have the greatest effect. Safe to grow in earth bottom ponds. Zones 4-11.

IBP Miniature Water Clover - Marselia minuta

As the name would have you believe, this plant is similar to the rest of the Marselias except for the distinction of being the smallest. The leaves are no more than 1 inch in diameter on a good day, and the plants only grow to a few inches tall. It can be anchored with gravel or small stones in shallow water areas.(1-2" of water). ZONE 7

One of the darkest red waterlilies on the market, with hints of black. Leaves start maroon and mature to bright green. Flowers are 5-6 inches across. Leaves are 8-9 inches across, with a plant spread of 3-6 feet. Prefers full sun. USDA ZONES 4-11.

IHL Nymphaea 'Hermine'

A small lily suited to small ponds and tub gardens. The flowers are a creamy white. It produces single, tulip-shaped white blooms that are 3 to 4 inches wide. The heart shaped leaves are up to 6 inches across and spreads to 2 to 3 feet across. Plant in full sun. Cold hardy to about 15 degrees F.

This is a beautiful, free blooming, purple and white lily that will grace any pond. The petals are a rich violet on the ends and change to white at their bases. ITL Nymphaea minuta

This rare offering is one of the smallest of the water lilies. It comes from Madagascar, and is the most recently named species of Nymphaea. It produces small leaves, each with a red spot in the middle, and small pink/white flowers. It will grow and bloom in an aquarium or a pond, is shade tolerant, but will live in partial sun, and it reseeds freely. Can be grown in small barrel ponds on warm patios, or in well lit terrariums. USDA ZONES 8-11
